Now, absolutely no promises but later this year we might – MIGHT! – have a comet in our sky bright enough to be visible to the naked eye. Comet 46P Wirtanen has the potential to be visible without any help from binoculars or a telescope, but comets are notoriously fickle creatures and 46P might yet disappoint us, as so many comets have done before. We’ll just have to wait and see!
