Apollo landing sites revealed – tomorrow!

Big day tomorrow – NASA will be unveiling images of the Apollo landing sites taken by the Lunar Reconaissance Orbiter! We’ve all waited a long, long, long time to see these historic places… again… I can’t wait to see the pictures!

NASA BRIEFS MEDIA ON NEW IMAGES OF APOLLO LUNAR LANDING SITES

GREENBELT, Md. — NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, has
sent back its first images of Apollo lunar landing sites. The agency
will release the images Friday, July 17, at noon and hold a
teleconference at 2 p.m. EDT to discuss the photos and future plans
for the LRO mission.

That’s image release at 5pm BST, and teleconference 2 hours later, 7pm our time.
